Gerardo Riverón is known by many as the ‘Al Pacino’ of Cuba. His body of work is vast and his roles memorable. He started acting in Cuba, working in theatre, television, and film earning numerous accolades in his native Cuba and abroad for his stellar performances. He decided to pursue his acting career in the United States and moved to Miami, Florida in 1992. Since then, he has landed leading roles in Spanish soap operas for NBC-Telemundo, starring in shows such as “Perro Amor” (2010), “¡Anita no te rajes!” (2005) and “Prisionera” (2004).
Riverón has stayed true to his acting roots by starring in numerous theatre plays throughout South Florida, Spain, and Latin America. “Wassup en LA?” will be Riveron’s first English crossover role, playing the grandfather.
